I am so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing! He was my first love! I have such fond memories of Chris and Robert coming to our house and having puzzle races. (We were in the 3rd and 4th grade)...my heart hurts to know he is gone! Prayers for his family! Love to you all!
So, my favorite memory with my dad is when we worked together. I loved working by his side even though we would bump heads all the time. Haha. He was the best teacher, best friend, and an even better dad.
I miss our late night talks and watching shows together. I remember i would always go into his room with the intention to ask something, but always got distracted with cuddling up next to him and watching tv together.
He never talked about feelings, but he was always a great listener and he would always give the best advise and he was the smartest man I've eber known. And I know that's a little biest cuz he's my dad, but I have NEVER met a man like my dad. He was a one of a kind man, and a one of a kind dad. I love you daddy. I hope you're having fun in heaven with everyone.
So many good memories! One of the best is when dad got us the BB guns when we were lil boys in Marthaville. Dad told us whatever you boys do don't shoot my chickens. So of course we shot his chickens. All dad did was put the idea in our heads and we laughed about it for over 40 years. If he didn't say it we never would've even thought to shoot the chickens. Our friends we had when you lived here in Natchitoches never forgotten you. Seeing how much you were loved and the impact you had in peoples lives does give me comfort. You always took the advice that mom gave us. We cant save the world all we can do is help those around us and make the world a better place. You didn't leave this world without having a positive impact on those that knew you. Im happy I always told you that you were the best big brother Sandy and I could ever have. You had that protective big brother role perfected. Now Im the big brother but I could never fill your shoes. Sandy is a better big sister to me than I am a big brother to her. You spoiled me Rob. Thank you for helping me understand dad when we were kids. You were the glue to out family. I'll always miss you and I love you more than myself. RIP big bro. Looking forward to the day we all meet again at Granny's mansion.
I'll never forget the first time I met Mr. Robert. He invited me into his home and made me feel welcomed. As we exchanged "it's nice to meet you" he urged I get some pizza and join him, Courtney, Patrick, and Max at the dinner table. Football Sundays were my favorite because he got so into the game and would talk to me like I knew what was going on and we'd laugh when I was confused. He was a wonderful man and will be missed so deeply by many. Thank you for being so kind. Fly high, Mr. Robert!
I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful man at Ray Brandt Collision. He always had a smile on his face and willing to help in anyway he could.... I know he will be missed by many.
Rob, He was my best friend, someone I could call day or night. My favorite memory of Rob is when he put down a trail of coins that led to a pile of them. Then he walked my Granddaughter by it and she was like what is this, Rob said the leprechauns must of left that. My Granddaughter eyes lit up in amazement and so did his. I remember that belly laught and smile he had because he made her day. And one more my last memory of him, he just came from seeing his Grandbaby and he told me how she was calling him PopPop and that same smile was across his face. Rest in Peace my friend
When my daddy found out I was pregnant the joy in his eyes was just beautiful. He was so happy. I couldn't even explain the happiness. When she was born he was even happier. He loved her so much and as she grows up I will always remind her of how much her "PopPop" loved her.. 💜💙
