Well since I'm now 67 this is a golden oldie. Mr. Glendon was my 7th grade band teacher. He said you're a big one, I've got a baritone sax with your name on it. So started my path to jazz. We call him, behind his back, "Birdnest" Glendon and those of us that were "with" it got his help and benefited greatly. I went on to take a B.A. in Music and and MFA in Electronic music after my military career and always thought of him as one of the drivers of that path. I played in the jazz band in college for 5 years and to this day listen to 30's and 40's swing jazz as my favorite music. Thanks Mr. Glendon for your influence and inspiration through the years and I wish I could have shook your hand and bought you a drink!
