We are heartbroken about Robert’s passing.  He has given so much to our community and Veterans since the beginning of KT and such a nice and caring man.  Always had time to stop and talk.  Sheila, we are sending you and your family our prayers 🙏🙏
Our deepest condolonces to the Fleming family. Robert’s compassion, kindness, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his memory will live on in our hearts. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort and strength in the love you shared and in the support of those who care about you.

Rob and I bonded over our love for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago sports in general. As next door neighbors for the past six years, we commiserated over the Cubs missing the playoffs, again, or how we got excited over the Bears’ promising start then lamented how they fumbled away another season. He knew his sports and it was always a pleasure talking to him.

Rob and Sheila, pillars of the KT community, were staunch proponents of veterans causes and the KT Veterans Group. The annual Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast, catered by the Magnolia Pancake Haus, was eagerly anticipated and widely attended by KT residents and guests. This annual event generated close to $40,000 in donations to various veterans organizations.

Rob leaves a lasting legacy of service. His loss is felt not only by his loved ones, but by the entire KT community. He will sorely be missed.
