So incredibly sad to hear this. An amazingly kind human being. This world will a little darker without him. My love and condolences to Dale and the girls...
My heart is heavy as I lost a good friend and co-worker today. A man who truly appreciated and loved all of his students and colleagues, and especially his family! He always had a smile, always joked with me, truly appreciated the assistance I gave our students in class, and even reached out to me on several occasions to ask about my adult children (who were his former students) even after I was moved to another school in the district and he retired. He also wrote me a very sweet letter about how much he appreciated me, my help, and my way with disabled children...that meant so much to me! He truly and deeply cared about others!! He, and the rest of the middle school special area teachers, bought me a bottle of wine and a gift card for a massage one time, because it was one hell of a rough crew we had that year, and I had to go to every humanities class with this group! :-) He also asked me one day if I was a chicken...I asked what in the world he was talking about...he said with his usual grin, "Well, you have a 6 inch feather in your armpit!".... I almost died...it was from my down coat and had been there literally ALL day!! Not one other person ever said a word!! Like how could you have missed a feather THAT big people!!! ??? LOL! Bing laughed so hard as I turned every shade of red possible! After that, I made sure I got a "feather check" every day before I went to help in his class, but he never let me forget it! Fond memories of a wonderful man! Rest easy dear friend!! You touched so many lives!! <3

I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures but my favorite memory of him is when he was a track official. He was always smiling and offering words of encouragement and I’ll never forget that about him
