So many great memories...I remember back in Middle School when Coach Bing would do the Hans & Franz skit and call out student athletes to “pump you up”.
Thank you for making an impact on me and so many others on the field and in the classroom.

I remember when I first started in Newark schools in 8th grade. Mr Bing was my health teacher in the middle school. Knowing I was new he made sure I was comfortable and fit right in. Mr. Bing would keep in touch through out the years. Would tell me I was on of his favorite students. And Always asking me to stay out of trouble. If I would run into him at a store or at a wrestling match he’d be sure to give me a big hug and say “Hey Shy how ya doin!” With a smile on his face. Then would continue to pick on me for changing my hair color. I am blessed to know my sister and brother got to experience him has a coach and teacher. He will be greatly missed. I am so thankful to have had him as a teacher and friend ❤️🙏🏻
I do not even know what to say. He was just an amazing person. He was a teacher that you KNEW cared about his students and was just funny in general. It makes me regret not going back to my middle school to visit him sooner. My mother had Ms. Binggeli as a gym teacher in her youth and loved her too. I want to send love to his family as I am sure many others are right now because his loss is a hard one. He was one of a kind; a special bright light of a person.

Papa Lax was our assistant coach with his awesome daughter Kelsey for our 2017 season at North High School. He was helpful for every single girl on the team in terms of coaching us on and off the field! This is what some of us say about Papa Lax. Ella Kozlowski - “When we were all dancing and singing, being as obnoxious as ever he would simply just join along with his goofy dance moves” Angela Alvarado - “He was so caring. He just loved us all just as much as Bing did and it was great . I’ll never forget him.” Valeria Castaneda - “Papa Lax was so kind and patient. I remember my first mile I ran. I was feeling very insecure being the slowest one but every lap I did he would clap and cheer me on like I was winning a race. And after it he would smile and me and say ‘good job Vale’ 💜” Espy Reyes - “We was an amazing person, never gave up on us, believed that we were worth something. He never stopped believing.” Avery Ahern - “He was one of the first lacrosse coaches that had a really impact on me (:” Maria DeLuna - “He was the sweetest. Always had our backs. Rest easy papa lax” Jaisy Iniquez - “I remember Papa Lax as my mentor for lacrosse. He was a bright soul. May he shine brighter than ever. I appreciated your investment in the lives of the lax girls and myself. I was so lucky to have a coach who inspired me everyday to be better than the day before. I consider myself fortunate to be able to have learned from you and your experiences. I love you Papa Lax, thank you for everything. May you Rest In Peace ❤️”

I have many great memories from growing up in Webster and hanging out with Bob and Ben, We were in scouts also as well as school. Bob was always a funny guy, always happy and joking around. This is such a shock and I am so sorry for his family. This is so painful. God bless him and his family!
❤️ Loosing Mr Binggeli is a tremendous loss for our community, for our students and overall humanity. This man emanated peace and compassion. Since the seventh grade he has always greeted me with a warm smile and my name. He was the first one to teach me how to meditate , it has stayed with me to this very day. My condolences to his family, many friends & loved ones. He was a great man that I admired and am proud to say I learned many things from him. ❤️♥️

I was in middle school , when mr,bing was my health teacher, I struggled with an eating disorder and severe depression all through school but one time I was really bad , I was extremely weak and just miserable with myself , mr bing seen something was wrong and pulled me aside and took time out of his day to just talk to me and that meant the world to me , we sat and talked for an hour he not only gave me amazing advice but also explained what I was doing to my body from starving it and how it would end . He was such an amazing kind soul and always went above and beyond for his students , I’m so sorry for your loss :( god bless you all ❤️
So very sorry for your loss; my thoughts and prayers to you all.
God Bless,
