Common theme - Rob surrounded…
2020, Hilton Head Island, SC, USA
Common theme - Rob surrounded by friends! So many people loved and adored Rob. How could they not? He was the easiest person to be around. He wanted the best for everyone. He treated us all with kindness, love, and respect. This particular day we went fishing, road on a big boat, and hung out on the golf course next to Harbor Town. Rob was his usual upbeat and funny self making everyone smile. Miss you, Rob.

Rob’s good friend’s wife Madeline Merlo, singer/song writer, wrote this song after the news of Rob. Madeline is such a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Truly in awe. No words big enough on how much this means to us. Thank you ❤️
Rob was always so kind and always willing to help. Our family loved your son and our children were blessed to have him as a friend. When our daughter went to UT, Rob told me not to worry that he would watch out for her and make sure she was safe. Rob always made sure to ask if he could help with anything when spending time with our family. He also loved our dog Zoe. Zoe knew when she saw Rob he would pet her the whole time. Rob always had a smile on his face and a glint in his eye. He brought so much fun and laughter when he was around. He also wanted to always make sure everyone was happy and safe. Rob has left quite the legacy in his 32 years. He loved his friends well and always showed up for them. You raised an amazing son who will be missed by all who knew him.

I worked with Rob for 7 years at Universal & he was my first general manager when starting my career as a broker. He was always kind & pushed you to excel as your mentor. I’ll remember having pancake day at work & joking with Ben Fisher about wanting sprinkles on his pancakes, Rob just cracked up about it & made me laugh. Or the time he bought the whole team a shot at a company outing & totally didn’t have to! Very kind hearted, fun guy & will be truly missed.

There was a time at work when Prank Wars was threatened in the office. I think Josh Clarke started it by hiding a chirping device near my desk and Rob and Riley’s offices… more than once. One of the times, the 3 of us were looking everywhere for it, even pulled out the ladder to look in the ceiling— it was in the light switch. Rob declared war on Josh’s side of the office which included my allies, Josh and Manaia.  So I became the mole playing both sides. Rob suspected me all along after his office got hit with 100 rubber duckies. It was a great time. We later did an office game, Duck Scavenger Hunt. I made one of them to be a robber, named him Lil Robbie and he was to be found in Rob’s office, solidifying his suspicion of me connected with the original prank haha.

We worked together for 2.5yrs and during that time, I’ll remember his friendly smile, always saying good morning or goodnight as he passed my desk coming to work or going home, laughing at him when he couldn’t open the door right (push, don’t pull Rob).. I saw it every time. He’d occasionally come out of his office for some good gossip, and if you passed his office you’d find him sitting at his desk like he was going to fall out of his chair. He never knew his password for the timeclock so I gave him mine and he always lost it. Drove me crazy haha. He was a great soul to have around and is already so missed even though we said goodbyes our last day together. His last hug was a good one.

This was my 24th birthday and I was making this face and saying “Rob is so sweet I wanna cry!!!”. Rob treated me, and all of Courtney’s best friends, with love and care and intentionality. He was always hyping me up and making me feel like I was one of the most special people on the planet. He was full of love and laughter and kindness, and I miss him so much. Praying so hard for his family and friends moving forward❤️

Drinking Butter Beer at Harry Potter World before being forced to evacuate FL due to the category 5 hurricane coming for us 🤣

I am so sorry for the heartbreak and devastation you guys are going through. My heart physically hurts as well, but reading these stories and memories makes me smile knowing that everyone else felt the same way about Rob that I did. He was so special  ❤️

I could never pick just one memory with Rob, as he made me constantly smile and laugh the entire 5 years we were together!!! But one that’ll always stick with me was our very first trip together.  While we were giddily making our way to Orlando, FL for a Labor Day Weekend in Disney World and Universal Studios, the rest of the state was evacuating due to what was supposed to be a category 5 Hurricane (Irma). 😅 The parks shut down for the first time in 40 years! Every flight home was cancelled for a week. My dad was so angry and demanded we get home asap 🤣 By the grace of God and hours of calling rental car companies, we booked the last rental car in Orlando, and were forced to drive home to Nashville. What was supposed to be a 10 hour drive took 19 hours due to gridlock traffic - Rob drove the entire way and never complained once. We had so much fun being rebels, making up games, laughing and jamming to music the whole way home. He was always such a joy to be around, even in the most stressful situations!! Rob made everything fun. I will cherish our memories forever and ever!!
