To Rita's family, my heart is truly broken. We did not know how very short her time was. Please know we loved her dearly and have so very many fond memories of great times with her. Sending our love and deepest sympathies to you.

To Jim and Rita's family, my deepest condolences. She was one special lady and an angel on earth, so no doubt she is dancing with the angels in heaven.
To Rita - the poem I shared with you on your last day. Best Friends by Gloria Swan Kennedy - A deep and lasting friendship comes after many, many years... After sharing fun and laughter, some sadness, losses and tears. It's not something that just happens; You cultivate it with care and love. Perhaps, our dear Lord planned it from His heavenly home above. A friend is worth the time you give, the caring that you show. No matter the size the troubles, they know to you, they an always go. But it's not a one-way street; You, too, can do the same. You can each count on the other, in your joys, and your pain. The power of this friendship rises higher year by year. I am glad we shared this magic, because, to me, you will always be so dear.
Rest in Peace my friend! Thank you for always being there for me. You will be greatly missed!!

God truly has a place for you with him in heaven! You and my mom Carol can visit and catch up on everything. I remember when you and her would get together and talk for hours. You're definitely one amazing lady and I'll miss you!🙏❤ RIP

Our family will always be grateful for the time Rita spent caring for my brother, Dick Briggs, in his last days. She made his struggle so much lighter with her wonderful personality and positivity.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Sorry we are not there but I will always remember your mother as I saw her the day before we left for our trip. She was visiting with Ma and Suzy and was smiling and was going to get a creemee with Jim. I also will never forget the last thing she said to me "Ok Craig, that's a long enough hug, you can let go now." Loved her and will miss her.
