Rita reading to Levi. Rita loved to have all the kids around, and the kids loved her too. When she lived in Minnesota, her place was a favorite to visit, especially for the kids. She always had lots of fun toys to play with and that warm, welcoming smile. — with Rita Koss and Levi Krisch

I only remember Rita as happy and smiling. I never saw her angry or sad.

Rita was very adaptable. She lived in many different places and was always able to adjust and make everything work marvelously for her family.

What a beautiful lady.  My condolences to you and your familys.

To the Koss Family,

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Rita  wasn’t just Mark’s mom — she was part of my life, too. Growing up, she welcomed me with warmth, kindness, and patience that I’ve never forgotten. Her home felt like a second home back then, and that’s a gift not every kid gets.

To Mark — you were my best friend, and your mom was one of the good ones. The kind you don’t realize shaped you until years later. Her love, her laugh, and the way she looked out for us — it all mattered.

I’m holding you and your family in my heart right now. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.

With love and deepest sympathy,

Scott
