I was devastated when I heard the news of Ricky's passing. Ricky was a long time friend and will forever be remembered in my heart. He was a good man and friend. If only I could get one more hug. RIP my good friend and I will see you on the other side one day.😘💕

Rick and one of his projects, he engineered the set up to the largest steam whistle collection. — with Rick Richerson
Rick will always be one of my favorite human beings. I met him 8 years ago, as my boss, and we became like a big brother-little sister mischievous team. We tackled countless projects that allowed us to be creative and reflected our love for craftsmanship. No job was too big for him, he showed me that possibilities are endless and imagination has no limits. He not only taught me how to maneuver a bobcat using wooden blocks, so that my short little legs could reach the pedals, but also had me shape concrete rocks until my fingerprints were non existent. Through all the new tasks he assigned to me with great confidence, Rick molded me into the person I am today, and for that I will always be grateful. I owe much of my success to him. A proud papa & grandpapa, an extraordinary man in every sense. A hui hou Ricardo, until our next pau hana.
With love and aloha to a well lived and spirited man who gave so much to so many.  Forever in our hearts.

Rick helped me build my house...We've been fast friends ever since....Lots of laughs and a few (ahem!) drinks...I'll  miss his friendship, knowledge and that smirking grin he always had for various reasons that sometimes only he knew......Rick, if there is another side, we'll toast one up to the good times...

Rick, was just a good guy. I feel very fortunate to have run in to him at Christmas.  One last hug.  I am so sorry for all of you for your loss. You are all good people, and he was one of you.  Please note, this was one of the most heartfelt obituaries I have ever read.  I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes.  Rest well, Rick.
What a beautiful tribute to dear friend ♥️. Rick was a one-of-a kind!  He was kind & would do anything for you. It is so hard to believe he is gone.  He loved his kids the most  & was so proud of them. Thoughts & prayers 🙏🏻

My condolences to Rick's family and everyone who loved Rick. I am shocked and deeply sad to know of Rick passing on. He was a loveable guy and always had that sweet smile and a friendly hello when I saw him. His obituary is so very fitting for the fine man Rick was. He made his mark on the world in many ways and I feel blessed to have known him.

Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is near to the broken hearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. " Praying for your family in this time of sorrow.

Laurent and I were so blessed to have Rick as our dear friend. He truly was a gifted, fun loving man with oh so much to give of himself. We loved him and all his wonderful stories.
