I met Sally before we moved to San Mateo Park and when each of us had only one pre-schooler. Later, as our girls became active in Scouts, we became leaders, and co-led a troop at day camp. Sally was always a positive, upbeat friend, even when her cancer prognosis was dim. My daughter, Karen, and I both attended the service at her home and at the gravesite, and I remember clearly Dick saying he had chosen the spot for the beautiful view. I'm so glad Christie and Richard were able to have their parents rest together.
Before and after Sally's death, we had come to know Dick as a good friend and wise youth soccer coach, who was able to balance skill-building and competition with a concern for a child's self-esteem. And Dick did a wonderful job raising his son and daughter after Sally's much-too-early passing.
We're so glad that Dick was able to live to see his children happily married and to enjoy some grandfather time.
God bless the Wittig and Crosby families! Donna and the Crocker Family
Dick was a blessing to us here in Port Ludlow. His compassionate care for others as evidenced by his volunteering at the Tri-Area Food Bank and helping wherever he could especially at the church was known to all his friends here.
Loved listening to his stories after Aquacize Class - he was
always raving about his children/grandchildren. He fought to the very end but now has peace with His Lord and is reunited with Sally and his family. We will see you again Dick. Blessings to his family- Love, Bob & Peg Councill
We served in the military together, He impacted positively.
He will be greatly missed.
May his soul rest in peace

Dick was a great friend, we had many good talks in the gazebo at the beach club, many stories of his dear grandchildren that he loved dearly.
