Richard (Benny) would help any one he could. I once saw him in a store and an older woman lost her wallet and Benny paid for her groceries.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Richard “Benny”?"
Shared a heart Red heart

Benny was a very sweet man who I had the pleasure of meeting late in his life.  I started bringing  Benny Holy Communion in November 2022 as a member of St. Bridget Parish. As Benny and I prayed together, I got to know him a little bit more as the (almost) year passed. He was always so kind and asked about my family each time . He shared his strong  faith and his belief in “Our Lord’s” plan for him. He was a faithful man who always brought a smile to my face. It was a true honor to bring Eucharist to Benny. I was the one who was blessed by this act of faith as I know he was as well. I will miss Benny dearly. Rest in peace and in the arms of Jesus, dear Benny.

You were a bright light Benny and will never stop shining....I will miss you dearly, my friend.
I remember how happy you were shopping at Ballek's Garden Center. You loved your plants. I would load the van up with your purchases and then seatbelt you in to the passenger seat to bring you back home. You always pointed out the beautiful portrait of yourself when I carried your new plants in. I will always remember your unique voice and your smiling face. Your portrait has found a new home with me, Diane Ballek

Benny, I have known you for over a quarter of a century and not having you at the other end of that phone,  sharing holidays together or taking day  trips, has left a huge unimaginable void. I could always count on your for a laugh.  It was an absolute honor to know you,  Rest in peace my friend. JP
Benny,  I have known you most of my life. We met when I was 16, and I have a lot of memories of you. Many years had gone by before we saw each other again and both of us living at Oak Grove you were still the same  it didn’t seem that years did go by .  You  were still Richard as we called you back then.   I will miss you Benny, but you are now with the Lord.  Just try not to talk to talk much (only kidding). Rest In peace my friend and always remember that we here at Oak Grove will miss your smile and kindness.
