Rebecca's obituary
She was born on January 7, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Regnall B. Lipscomb and Virginia Mae Kyle.
Becky was a devoted daughter, mother, mammie, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who fiercely loved all. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—going on cruises, creating beautiful flower arrangements, crafting, and cake decorating—but above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her deep love for God, her giving nature, her sense of humor, and her remarkable strength and resilience.
She is survived by her children, Chip (Jenny) and QuaDonna (Robert); her grandchildren, Victoria (Brandon), Ian, Jared, Cyann, Mika (Sam), Gerrie (Conrad), Samantha (Nathan), K'Leigh (Trevor), Johnathan, Kenley, and Alivia; her great-grandchildren, Aryanna, Mariah, Brandon, Landyn, Korbyn, Bo, and Ronan; and her siblings, Polly, Barbara, Joe, Richard (Gina), and John.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca, and her siblings, Jerry, Margaret, Maxine, Francis, Betty, Phyllis, Inez, William, and Charles.
A celebration of life will be held on April 18th, 2pm at 4640 Battleline Dr. Mechanicsville, Va 23111.
As it is written, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). That unity and love were so clearly reflected in the way Becky lived and the family she cherished.
In sorrow, there is still grace. In loss, there is still love. And in all of it, we hold tight to faith, family, and the memories that will carry on.
