I met Raymond in 2012 through a mutual friend who was trying to start a band. He quickly became one of my best friends, and we spent many, many years together. We used to smoke and chill on the side of his grandma's house when we were 18-20 and cook up music, talk about philosophy, and talk about our dreams of playing music for real. We always supported each other's independent music projects, but when we wrote music together it was special. When we got older, we played in a serious band together for 7 years, and got to tour and play music for hundreds of people across 12 states. I'll never forget all those memories we made on the road, playing music, talking, and adventuring. I'll never have that musical connection with anyone else. We could look at each other and know what's going on musically. The world lost one of the most talented, most caring, most humble, most selfless person I've ever known. I know I'll see you again someday.
