Raymond's obituary
He composed music in a range of genres, contributed to soundtracks for emerging video games, and was on
the verge of making a lasting impact in the music gaming industry. Recently, he stepped into a new role as a
music educator-one that brought him immense purpose and fulfillment.
Before marrying, Raymond and his loving wife, Jehssikah Plummer-Moore, shared a committed relationship
of five beautiful years. Together, they experienced many adventures, shared countless laughs, romantic
moments, and held abundant hopes and dreams for the future. Both worked for the same school district and
inspired one another deeply in their personal and professional lives.
Jehssikah saw Raymond as a truly gorgeous man-full of intelligence, genuineness, compassion, and love. He
was her partner in every sense: her encourager, her teammate, her muse. The way he poured himself into his
passions, and into her heart, left an imprint that time will never erase.
Though Raymond was born into a loving family and grew up to create his own, he was also embraced by his
spirit family, the Johnsons-including Nigil, his wife Ashley, and their siblings Alexia and Collin-as well as a
flurry of extended family members deeply connected with them. The love between them was chosen, nurtured,
and unwavering.
"Ray wasn't just a friend-he became my brother, not through blood but through the bond we built over years of laughter, late-night conversations, and shared memories. He had this rare ability to make everyone feel seen,
and he loved that we loved him just as he was. No masks, no pretending-just Ray, raw and real. That's who we
cherished.
He was a wildly talented musician, the kind who didn't just play the guitar-he shredded. Fingers flying over
strings like sparks off flint, he made that instrument sing, scream, and soothe all in one breath. Music wasn't
just a skill for Ray; it was an extension of his soul. You could feel his passion in every note.
When he wasn't making magic with his guitar, you could find him immersed in the world of Nintendo. The
Legend of Zelda franchise was his favorite-he loved the adventure, the lore, the quiet courage of Link. But
really, any Nintendo game that sparked imagination and nostalgia had a place in his heart. He approached
gaming the same way he approached life: with joy, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the stories that
connected us.
Ray was one of a kind-the kind you don't just remember, but carry with you."
From his baby sister, Ginnah:
"Raymond reminded me of who I am during my postpartum depression and helped me through it. He taught me that I didn't have to lose sight of who I was or what I loved-my passion-after becoming a mom. We were
growing and becoming parents together, and we were so proud of each other.
Raymond was an amazing brother who would stop at nothing to protect his sisters. He was fearless in many
ways, unapologetically himself, and a big inspiration in my life. He didn't have to act hard to be tough. He was
a chill, admirable dude-a true definition of what a man should be.
I was especially proud of him for everything he'd accomplished and still was accomplishing before he passed.
I'm proud to be his baby sister, and I'm proud to share his legacy and stories with my family and my daughter."
His sister Jasmine recalled:
"Raymond's passion for music stemmed from a young age. His very first instrument was the acoustic guitar.
He pulled deep inspiration from Jimi Hendrix-an artist who reminded him of himself-as well as from Slipknot,
Guns N' Roses, and Aerosmith.
His love for Nintendo and The Legend of Zelda was rooted in countless cherished hours spent playing Ocarina
of Time with our mom. Together, we spent hours playing on the N64, GameCube, Wii, and later PlayStation and Xbox.
He used to win in Virtual Fighter and flip my dad off in the game, and we'd all laugh together as siblings.
Every summer, our family would go to Six Flags in California. Before the trip, we'd make sandwiches, pack
bags, and fill up coolers so we didn't have to buy expensive park food. Then we'd go everywhere in the park
together. Raymond was always at the heart of those memories."
Raymond is survived by his wife, Jehssikah Plummer-Moore, and his cherished stepchildren: Josephina
Kristine Marie Talcott, Anastazia Nicole Alexandra Talcott, Aisylin Mari Jane Bothwell, and Solomon Bruce
Wayne Bothwell.
He is also survived by his loving mother, Ginsi Robinson, and his father, Ray Moore; his beloved sister,
Jasmine Robinson; and his precious baby sister, Ginnah Moore.
He was a proud uncle to his nephews Jonah Stanley Claiborne and Kmari Johnson, and his nieces Zoe and
Anijah, who adored him dearly. Anijah lovingly remembers how Uncle Raymond supported her business
ventures, cracked jokes to cheer her up, and always came to her rescue-especially when snacks were involved.
His and Aunt Jehssikah's home was a place of safety, joy, and comfort for both her and her brother Kmari.
Their bond was a reflection of Raymond's deep care and unshakable presence in the lives of those he loved.
Raymond is also survived by his soul brothers-Ricardo Vasquez, Tieler Hembree, and Juan Victor
Zamudio-his fellow bandmates and lifelong friends. Their bond transcended music, built on years of shared
dreams, creative passion, and unwavering brotherhood.
Raymond joins in eternal rest his grandmother Eunita Robinson and Percy Floyd Robinson Sr., along with
extended family members: grandmother Phillis Moore, uncle Keith M. Robinson and his son Kem Robinson,
auntie Sonja Lienhard, Martin Lienhard, Jordan, Kira, and Alexis Lienhard, uncle Percy F. Robinson Jr.,
Eliana Robinson, auntie Nina Robinson, uncle Michael Moore, and uncle Kenjii Moore.
