Randell, known more commonly as Randy, was born on November 10, 1942, in Clovis New Mexico to Jack Owensby and Connie Lee Prather Owensby. His family had a home in Ranchville, a small area outside of Clovis. Randy graduated from Clovis High School and went on to join the United States Army. After being honorably discharged he moved to Roswell, NM and eventually started working at New Mexico Savings and Loan, and that led to …
