Our last memory is a very fond one of Pierre and Debi's visit with us in Canada and a wonderful evening with our family of fun and laughter. Pierre had some new polarized sunglasses and we were looking at fish underwater at Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria. Pierre was such a fun and happy person to be around. Til we all meet again someday. Our deepest condolences to Debi, Segan and Travis.
Such sadness in our hearts, on the rare occasions when we were able to meet, we always had a great conversation and chuckle. It’s a little less friendly out there now but we all meet again.
Pierre was not just a friend he was family. Pierre and Shane became brothers who argued, laughed, cried , sang , fished, camped and propped each other up in times of need . He will always be remembered and carried in our hearts .

Fly fishing in Luneburg South…
Fly fishing in Luneburg South Africa in the 1990’s

Pierre was a truly unique human being — someone who left an unforgettable mark on every life he touched. Known for his brilliant mind, he was, without question, the world’s best theorist. His sharp intellect, curiosity, and way of seeing the world set him apart, and he inspired me to think more deeply and to question more bravely.

Pierre was also stubborn in his ways — but in the best sense. His convictions ran strong, and his authenticity never wavered. He lived life on his own terms, standing firmly in what he believed, and in that stubbornness was a kind of integrity that drew my respect and admiration.

Beyond his intellect, Pierre was a man of heart. He loved nature and cared deeply for animals, finding joy and peace in the outdoors. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace life fully, never shying away from new experiences. He was fiercely loyal, a friend you could depend on through every season of life.

For me, Pierre was more than all of this — he was my friend. A constant presence, a source of laughter, of challenge, of comfort, and of truth. To know Pierre was to know loyalty, generosity, and love in its purest form.

He will be missed more than words can say, but his spirit, his ideas, and his unwavering friendship will live on in me forever.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Pierre prayers for all of you.

Pierre will be truly missed. He will be remembered often. His happy spirit and kindness will live on in my memories.  My times on the island are wonderful memories and bring a smile to face.  He is gone too soon and my thoughts and love go out to you, Debi and Segen and Travis.
Words can not convey how sorry we all are that Pierre has been taken from us. He was a joy and always had a kind word and a big ole hug for everyone. Debi my heart goes out to you, Segan and Travis. Pierre will never be forgotten and hope he has found his perfect fishing ground. Love to you and you are in my thoughts constantly.
