Phyliss Hamm, 61, passed away December 3, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous fight with cancer.

Phyliss lived a full and interesting life. As a child she was stationed with her family in the military all around the world, from the Philippines to Hawaii. She was a competitive swimmer in high school and loved the water. Her family eventually settled in St. Petersburg, FL where she met her childhood sweetheart, Larry, and they married in 1982. They were soulmates in every aspect and had an extraordinary marriage of over 41 years.

Phyliss was truly the matriarch and rock of her family. She was a loving wife and doting mother who always put others before herself. She was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet and built two businesses with her husband Larry before retiring. She was a beautiful soul who was respected and loved by all. Phyliss was a light in everyone’s life and will be missed more than words can express.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Leal, and her parents, Marjorie and Russell Chopiak.

She is survived by her husband Larry, her daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Steven. She loved her extended family members and friends!

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to “Save The Manatee Club.” (Link to the side)
