Phillip's obituary
Phillip J Harris Jr, 57, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 in Spring Hill, FL. He was born on January 2, 1962 in Dunkirk, NY to Phillip J Harris Sr. and Deloris Marie Ortolano.
Phillip grew up in Fredonia, NY. He graduated from Fredonia Senior High School in 1980. After high school he attended the Military Academy of West Point in West Point, NY where he received a scholarship to play college football for the Army Black Knights. Phillip continued his journey playing semi-professional football around the Buffalo, NY area after college. Phillip and his family lived in Cheektowaga, NY then later moved to North Tonawanda, NY. He then continued running a transportation company (Grayline) in Niagara Falls where he worked for 30 years.
Phillip married Juliana Marie Radka in Cheektowaga, NY on September 4th, 1987. They were happily married for 31 years.
Phillip was a member of numerous social clubs around the North Tonawanda, NY area and was very involved with coaching little league football. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching sports and spending time with his family. Mikey, the Harris Family dog will have a special place in Phil’s heart. Phillip was a devoted Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. He also received many awards in the transportation business, holding the position of Operations Manager.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father Phillip and his late mother Deloris; his brothers Michael Harris, Johnny Harris and Douglas Harris. Phillip is survived by his spouse Juliana of Spring Hill, FL; his three sons Adam Phillip Harris of Buffalo, NY, Vincent J Harris of Depew, NY, Nicholas John Harris of Amherst, NY and his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
