Looking snazzy at Nicholas and Stacy's wedding in 2010 with his proud dad. He was wonderful with Jacob who was 2 at the time (much appreciated by his jetlagged parents!) - got straight into J's vibe - a natural with kids at least in our experience. Happy memories.

One of the things I always ad…
One of the things I always admired about Peter was how, on visits to German family or at bigger family events, he would manage to talk to everyone with great ease, finding a strong connection and rapport with anyone, young or old and from any background. Looking back through photos, there are many of him talking to far-flung family, from babies to the oldest grandmas, with the great ease - and in all the photos the other person always looks happy, relaxed and content. He had a calm presence, humour and energy that allowed anyone to connect with him and find happiness in it too - just one example is him talking to a monk at his German grandma Wilma's birthday party at her house in Bielefeld.
I will always remember Peter with this song. He loved animals and life. https://www.youtube.com/watch…

Dearest Toto, Audrey and Kirstin we are so so sorry and sad. For me what always came through so strongly about Peter was his sharp intellect and wry and incisive humour, but also his profound gentleness and kindness. Even my kids who had met him only as babies and then seen him through videos and photos had a strong sense of who he was showing how his character and individuality shone through so strongly. I will post some photos too. Lots of love. Xxx
I am deeply saddened to learn of Peter’s passing. I have very fond memories of Peter, particularly his time spent at our house and in scouts.  His life has been cut way too short. My sincerest condolences Tom and Audrey.

I haven't seen Peter since I was a kid back in KC. He was a few years older, I remember coming over and thinking he was so cool when we hung out while our parents did stuff. It saddens me greatly to hear of his passing.

Remembering Peter.... a lively bright little boy... a curious, intellectually gifted adolescent who grew into a kind and inquisitive young man. Someone who cared deeply about the world and the people around him. Looking for answers. Witty but never mean.  Nice looking and charming too!

Peter was someone whom people noticed and remember, years after meeting him at two big family gatherings in Germany and New York.  Lots of personality, sensitive, smart, funny - they said. Such a great loss! Peter had sparkle like a bright star. We will always cherish his being part of our lives. I feel strongly that he is leaving a lot of energy behind and will continue to be a vivid part of our lives.

But right now, we grieve his loss. We are terribly sad for Peter, whose life was cut short, and for those closest to him - his parents and his sister - who loved him and cared for him from beginning to end. We send our love to you and wish we could do more. The Dedring-Wiegmann Family.

My deepest condolences. Words cant describe how sorry I am at this loss. I have known Peter since 2008 when he started working in the science lab at the VA more than a decade ago. He worked very hard, would take on any challenge and carry it to the completion. I will always remember him for being so kind, caring and loving and at the same time so fearless and tenacious. May his soul rest in peace.
Deepest condolences for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
May God comfort all of you at the loss of Peter. Deepest condolences from Arlene Mowry and Ed Guettler.
