It has been an honor to have known Peter and to have done his hair for so many years. He was not just my client but a true friend. I have trusted his opinion and expertise about many business ideas over the years. I will truly miss his smile, his style and his accent too. God Bless
I’m so sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I met him through other DJs & Ira back in 2000 and he was really a great guy! He brought some awesome entertainment to 1015 & always greeted other small promoters like myself with courteousness, sincerity and friendship; his hospitality & big smiles are second to none….always so jovial! My sincerest condolences to his wife, Lisa & family!

There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.
I wrote this out shortly after hearing the news of my good friend, a brother, boss and mentor.

To my Big Brother, Peter Beckers.

It's taken me all day to find the courage to write something to you today. I just couldn't find the words that would appropriately honor your memory.

Or perhaps I simply didn't want to admit you were truly gone.

Nevertheless I am here to acknowledge the passing of a wonderful person. A good friend. My big bro.

I still sit here. Looking at my screen. Wondering what to type next.

I type someting. Still not good enough. Start over. This must capture his legacy.

Then it dawns on me. And I ask myself. What would Peter think?

(in deep German accent), "Hunpelieffable, just type zee damn zing up. Chezus!"

That was Peter to me. A man who kept it simple and never let it get too complicated.

I'm going to miss you my friend. You inspired me for many years. Thank for the all the memories and all the laughs. There was never a dull moment while in your company. You opened your arms and let me into your family. Our Spundae family.

My condolences to Lisa for the loss of Peter who was an incredible human, husband and friend. He succeeded in every he did starting with Spundae to real estate. Heaven has gained a true angel.
I was devastated with the news that Peter Beckers passed away. Peter and Guiv were the creators of Spundae productions which started in the early 90’s. In my opinion they really put San Francisco on the map when it came to international Dj’s. They produced some of the best events that shaped the west coast EDM scene with Spundae (every Sunday) and Nikita (every Friday). Every week there were top internationally known Dj’s and producers. They eventually won best club night in America at the winter music conference. I met them in the early 90’s. Over time we all became friends and they let me dj at one of there Sunday night events (Spundae). This was my first event. I would continue to dj for them and eventually was asked to be a resident dj, ever the years I worked at thier record shop and would promote events (back when we would flyer cars and stores). They were the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work for. Always making sure that we were taken care of. Peter and Guiv never let the fame go to there head and you would regularly see them out at 2 or 3am flyering cars. Alway humble, always nice and always generous. That’s why everyone wanted to dj for them, and work with them. Looking back on my life I can say that those were the best days of my life. Thank you Peter and Guiv for giving me the opportunity. Thank you for all those amazing events full of the best Dj’s in the world and thank you for your friendship.
Rest In Peace Peter Beckers.
You will be missed.

Throughout all those years his amazing wife Lisa Beckers has been there by his side. Please keep her and the family in your prayers.

There are some people that make life better. The kind of people that you can look up to, are always happy to see, and are your most cherished friends.

Peter Beckers was larger than life and accomplished more in the hospitality and nightlife field than most people do in 2 lifetimes. But more than his chosen career he was an amazing human being. I can honestly say my life is dramatically better knowing him and being able to call him a friend.

Rest In Peace
