Pedro, it was an honor to have been at both Thacher and CMC with you. I miss the warmth of your greetings when we crossed paths on campus. I wish you and your family peace.

Pedro was a true brother to my son Jordan. Pedro brought fun and happiness wherever he went. It is such a great loss for all who knew him. It broke a piece of my heart when I heard of his loss. I offer my sincere condolences to his family.
Joy and I are heartbroken to hear this shocking news. We send our love and condolences to all of Pedro's family. Pedro was smart, insightful, determined, fun-loving, and focussed. He was beloved by faculty and students alike. This is such a loss not only for his family and his friends but also for our world. We are so sorry.
I am so very sorry to hear this tragic news. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know Pedro. I will remember his passion, his insight and most of all his kindness. My deepest condolences to Pedro's family and friends on the loss of this exceptional young man.
Pedro was one of the kindest people I had ever met. I was a freshman when he was a junior, and I was havinf trouble with my course registration. I had only met Dro a handful of times before then, and when he overheard me getting stressed he sat down with me giving advice on classes Professor and general advice for over an hour. I tried to get him a pizza as a thank you for helping me, but he was insistant that there was no need, and it was just friends hanging out, so we just hubg out and split the pizza. Throughout the year Dro was a regular in our suite, and every day I saw him and hung out with him, he made my day better. Dro alway made you smile and laugh, and when something bad happened he was always there to hear you out and help you. Dro always had my back and was one of the most genuine, kind, funny, and intelligent people I ever had the privilege of calling a friend. I always looked up to Pedro. I am absolutely gutted to here of his passing and my heart goes out to his family and those closest with him. Rest in peace Pedro.

Last Saturday and we had an amazing bonding time at our nephews birthday celebration. He told me he Loved me and hugged a few times.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Dro?"
I feel extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to know Pedro. I always thought he was the cool older kid, and I never knew why he wanted to hang with me, yet he would come sit and talk in my dorm room for hours. Every time I heard the knock and opened the door to Pedro, it lit up my day. Pedro was easy to talk to, and we had some great conversations, whether it be just shooting the shit, or staying up all night trying to complete our philosophy journals for Burgess’s class the night before it was do. I cannot imagine what the family and people closest to Pedro are going through right now, and my deepest condolences going out to all of you. RIP Pedro❤️
I want to send my sincerest condolences and heart out to all of who Pedro loved and was loved by. Pedro was my college admissions consultant, who endlessly supported me as a student to find my fullest potential in my dream schools. He shared invaluable insight, advice, but most importantly, he believed in me. I will forever be appreciative and treasure the time I got to spend with him. Pedro, thank you so much for all you have shown me. You are truly missed.
When I heard the tragic news about Pedro I wrote about how I first met him. I am a local Ojai Mom of Toads in the classes of 2010 & 2015. Pedro was one of the first of the His class I had the privilege to met freshman year. It was during those first days when each student had to do their horse test by the ring next to the barns. Some had ridden a lot and some, like Pedro, never. It was only one more sport for him to excel at. Sasha introduced us as I too was born in the Bronx on Anderson Ave. right up from the original Yankee stadium. I too am a Yankee super fan. Probably one of the few moments he would seem uncomfortable at Thacher was during that first mount. We talked about the Bronx, the Yankees and then about some extra camping clothes that he could use that I had at home from my son’s days at Thacher. We don’t camp in the Bronx,” he chuckled. I was immediately impressed at his maturity and self-assurance. While we bragged about our home town and team his horse, as horses do, took a dump. He was alarmed for a brief moment, unfamiliar with a new event and stopped mid sentence. He became curious and bewildered and asked me, “WHAT IS THAT?!”. He pointed to the ground below the back of the horse where a smoking brown mound had unexpectedly dropped from the horse. I called up to him sitting tall and handsome in his saddle, “HORSESHIT Pedro, that young man is HORSESHIT. Have you never seen it before?” I asked incredulously. He shook his head emphatically no. I could see in his eyes him confirming that what I just said was without a doubt true and it suddenly made complete sense to him. “Well get used to it young man, and it’s smell” I added, “you will be getting very intimate with it this next year”. All freshman at Thacher are given a horse for freshman year that they must ride five days a week. They must also feed, clean and muck their horse’s stall seven days a week, two times a day! After he absorbed the existence of horseshit, I could see him pondering what he had gotten himself into, I am sure not for the first or last time during his days at Casa Piedro. Pedro returned to his confident charming self and with the dry New York sense of humor of my parents that I miss so much remarked “ No, I have never seen horseshit before, they don’t have horses either in the Bronx.” We laughed our heads off for a minute before it became apparent that he needed to head into the ring and I, as I often loved to do with the remarkable young students, was stealing a minute of his precious Thacher time, After that anytime we would see each other on campus I got his gorgeous smile and I gave him my Bronx smirk, remembering our unique amusing first meeting.
My deepest condolences Ana and all the beautiful siblings, family and friends Pedro was blessed to have in his too short life. I am so sorry it took his funeral today to meet you all. I did meet yu once on campus Ana. I enjoyed getting to know more deeply where Pedro came from and my he was such a special young man. Ana, I can see why he was your pride and joy.
A soul that always made me feel safe and welcome. Thank you Pedro, for your smile & charisma. You will live on in my heart.
I have fond, vivid memories of Pedro at Thacher, particularly watching him on the baseball field, playing a sport he absolutely loved. I also remember him coming into the college office after his meeting with the representative from CMC, so sure this was the place for him, carrying news that the rep had let him apply late for a special visit opportunity to the school. He and I spent a few days feverishly perfecting his application, and the rest is history! His spirit was infectious. My husband Jeff and I send love and strength to his family and friends as you grieve this loss.

I am thankful for the time spent today over zoom, celebrating the amazing life of Pedro. I knew Pedro from our time in the Fieldston Enrichment Program during middle school. Though many years ago, I am thankful for the laughter, smiles, and good times we shared together. He always knew how to cheer you up and make you smile. From Pedro's FEP family, I send condolences and love to his family, friends, and loved ones. His impact on all of us will live on forever.
I'll never forget Dro being one of my first friends at CMC. We bonded over the love of similar music (rappers from Toronto). He helped me in a time where I didn't have a ton of friends and I will be forever grateful for that. Every time we would get together and share new music we would end up hanging out for hours and just laugh together. Dro, you will always be big bro to me, thanks for always being a great friend and giving me the right advice . I'll miss you always. Rest in paradise.
