Ruth Wittmann-Price

2019, Ruth Wittmann-Price, South Carolina

Paul Andrew Wittmann was born in Teaneck NJ to the late Muriel and George Wittmann. He was brought home to the family house in Palisades Park where he joined four brothers, George Francis (Pegge), Stephen Paul (Nora), Eric Karl (Susan), and Kenneth and two sisters, Judith Ann (Denis) and Eileen. During his young childhood years three sisters were born Ruth Ann, Janet Ann (Michel), and Mary Teresa (Tim), and finally another brother John Joseph (Christine). Paul was always the thoughtful child, quiet, considerate, and loving. Paul did well in school and enjoyed playing basketball and football. The house on first street often had Paul and his friends in the back yard shooting hoops, but his happiest times were those when the family spent all summer at the Jersey shore. Paul was an excellent lifeguard and surfer and pursued his love for the ocean by becoming an oceanographer with a masters degree and minored in meteorology and served the US Navy as a civilian expert on Monterey bay. Besides Paul’s loving family in California, he leaves behind many heartbroken siblings. Paul joins his parents, brothers Kenny and Stephen and nephew George in Christ’s utopia. His gentleness and kindness will live on in the hearts of many.
