What were Paul's favorite ways to spend free time?

Paul and I met in Boulder Creek, CA in mid-2009. We hit it off as good friends right away. We would spend time together at his place or mine. Paul and I shared a love of cats. When I would spend the night at Paul's house, his cat Dizzy would sleep right between us. Dizzy was quite a character! Paul and I would talk and laugh until the late hours. He spent many evenings at my place as well. We would have dinner together and hang out in the yard afterwards. Paul was very good with my then 10 year old son, Jack, who spent weekends with me.  I was always at ease and very comfortable with Paul who was very laid back and down-to-earth. Paul had a great sense of humor! We had some jokes between us that were pretty funny. I left Boulder Creek in mid-2012 and we just stayed in touch by phone and Facebook after that.  I last talked to him on the phone in the summer of 2024. I was truly saddened when I learned that Paul passed away. I wish I had called him again in 2025. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the funeral. Paul Rzad was truly a wonderful person and talented musician who was a very loved by his friends and family.  I will never forget him. Rest in peace, Paul....
