Paul's obituary

Paul Aman Oswald, 67, of Gettysburg, PA passed away in his home on December 03, 2023. Paul grew up in Columbia South Carolina, a town he loved. He graduated from the Citadel, a military college in Charleston, South Carolina. He served his country in the Army for 21 years.  He retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. After retirement from the military, he spent 20 years in his second career at Leidos as a government contractor. After his second retirement he continued to work a few hours a week to stay busy. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Charlotte  throughout Europe. Paul will be dearly missed by family and friends and always remembered. 


Paul was predeceased by his mother Everlyn and father Charlie from South Carolina. He is survived by his wife Charlotte, 2 sons (1st son)~Jeremy and wife Chelsea and 3 granddaughters Kate, Caroline and Charlie and (2nd son)~Zachary and wife Allison and grandbaby Boy 'O' in June 2024 and 2 stepchildren Megan Ostrander and husband Lance and 2~ step grandsons Emil and Isaac and stepson Wes Sautter and stepmother Linda Oswald of South Carolina and stepsister Debra Martin and husband Alan of South Carolina brother-in-law Ken and wife Terry of Pa, brother-in-law Whit and wife Brenda of Florida and  many step nieces and nephews. Paul requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. He will be interned in the columbarium at St. James Episcopal Church temporary until Arlington cemetery is ready.  We request all of Paul’s loved ones join us in celebrating his beautiful life at St. James Episcopal Church 1307 N. Main St, Mount Airy Maryland on Friday April 12, 2024 at 11 am. Please no flowers. Kindly make a donation to Citadel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina in his honor. 

I would like to THANK my dear friends and family for the love and support you have showed me during this time of sorrow of the passing of my husband Paul.
