Karen and family. I am so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. We went to school from first grade at St Jude to graduation from Notre Dame. We were childhood friends. He was such a great guy. He will be missed. Love Phil Smith

Pat,
It was great reconnecting with you again after so many years. Like with so many other friends, we all say should have done it sooner, but better to cherish the last few years than not have them. It was a fun afternoon with the Brothers in your room in Novi n November … and you were determined to share the lunch on your plate with all of us. LOL
You were a great mentor to me in college and I valued our many conversations. But isn’t that what the old guys were supposed to do? For an old fart you still fit right in!
On behalf of Val, thank you for being part of our wedding party. Have lots of good pictures to remember you.

Pat and I were pledge brothers in Alpha Kappa Psi. I have so many memories from those days. It was Pat who broke me of my of my nervous habit of saying "aaah" and "ummm" when speaking in public. I did not even know I was afflicted with the aaah/ummm syndrome. When I became chapter president, Pat would sit in the back of the room during meetings and discreetly hold up a sign to alert me. Maybe a little thing to some, but ummm, a huge thing that taught me a little silence is ok, and made a positive life long difference for me. Thank you Pat. If you believe in an afterlife, I hope you are in heaven with the angels looking down with a smile.

I knew Pat for over 50 years. We were Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity brothers at Wayne State University. Great guy with a great sense of humor. Had a knack for being able to laugh at himself when necessary. My condolences to Lisa and extended family. He will be missed.

Lisa and family expressing my gratitude for Patrick’s life. Best word I can use to sum up his life is “Selfless”. Truly a sincere giving individual. Always offering help to someone. A rare 24-7 agent. Our lead off hitter in softball. Ability to get on base with infield hits contributing to our team success. Don’t know if it was Don or Ron who called it the “ Beckley Bleeder”. Had the pleasure of knowing and working with Patrick since early 70’s. May the Peace of Christ be with him now!

Lisa, I am very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I knew his birthday was on St. Patrick's Day (of course). I assume his death was very recently. We played softball together in Dearborn Heights, Dearborn and Softball City many years ago. We also bowled together and occasionally played poker. My wife, Nancy, and I were at your wedding, if I remember correctly, about 30 years ago. Pat was also friends with Ron Stuart, Dan Schwartz, Jerry Mrokowski and Tim McCarthy. I'll let them know of Pat's passing. I attempted to contact Pat through his former neighbor, Gerry Wood. My deepest condolences for my old friend.
