Patricia's obituary

Patricia (Pat) Eileen Wittine, age 69, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on November 6, 1955, Patricia lived a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Wittine. Together, they shared 46 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, hard work, and family. Pat and Bob met as teenagers and were married when she was 20 years old. They spent their careers working side by side at PPG Industries, where they both retired after 40+ years of service.

Pat was the proud and devoted mother of three sons—John (Andrea), Matt (Carla), and Tom (Rita). Her greatest joy was her role as a mother and grandmother to Damion, Kayla, Adaline, and Harrison, with whom she shared her love for baking, cooking, and making lasting family memories.

She was one of eleven siblings and is survived by her brothers and sisters: Beverly (John), Rita (Steven), Robert (Pamela), Kenneth (Debbie), Dorothy (Ronald), Carol (Dennis), Regina, Ruth (Dave), and John (Gina). She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Erna Wittine, her sister-in-laws Herta (Jim) and Ingrid (Rich), her brother-in-law, Tony, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Her sister Michelle and her loving parents, Joseph (Pat) and Dorothy Buzek, preceded her in death.

Patricia found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life—especially in nature. She loved camping and traveling, and her heart was most at home at Findley State Park, where countless family memories were made. Whether around a campfire or on a peaceful walk, Patricia felt most connected to those she loved and the world around her in that special place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to Findley State Park, where a memorial bench will be placed and funds will be used to preserve and beautify the grounds she held so dear.

Patricia's legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
