Pam was my OR Booking Clerk and I also considered her as a friend. Pam was wonderful at her job-efficient, smart, sense of humour which she definitely needed at times and was greatly respected by the nursing staff, physicians and surgeons. I was lucky enough to have enjoyed a girl's weekend away occasionally with her and other staff .Sadly I lost contact with Pam when I retired 22 yrs. ago but will never forget how awesome a person she was-one in a million.
My sincere condolence to Pam's family. May she forever Rest in Peace.
Sue Pybus.

We are deeply saddened as the loss of our dear friend Pam. She lived life with such passion….. whether it be hiking a trail, caring for her dogs, spending time with her horse and paddling the ocean in her kayak. Some of our favourite memories with Pam were the many wonderful summers we spent together on our kayaking/camping trips. Those memories will stay with us always! Pam brought warmth, adventure, and friendship to everyone around her, she is greatly missed. We know you are safe in Jesus arms and smiling down on us all. We will meet again one day in heaven🙏. Your friends, Doug & AnnLee

Met Pam when she was hired by Mission Hospital years ago. I trained her in our department of Admitting/Outpatients then when I moved on to OR Booking she showed interest in that area as well, so trained her in that area and she stayed there at Mission Hospital until the OR closed down and then she moved on to Abbotsford Regional Hospital until she retired. We continued our friendship right up until her passing. We had many get togethers and very special times together. Our times with each other talking and just sitting in silence will always bring me peace and comfort. She will always be in my thoughts and missed beyond measure ♥️♥️

I have known Pam for almost 19 yrs, as we were both members of the Chilliwack Outdoor Club. We got to know each other while she led us up many mountain peaks - hiking or snowshoeing - as we all attempted to keep up with her and her beloved dogs. What fun Dozer and Jessie were on our outings!
When we started kayaking, Pam was eager to join even though she had little experience. But she learned quickly and joined us for our annual multi-day kayaking trips - great memories of sharing meals, playing games and singing songs while we explored the islands.
When she started slowing down because of her health, we still met regularly to hike the Dewdney Grind. I looked forward to those weekly chats and visits.
Though most of our time was spent playing outdoors, she often joined me for BBQs and hot pot dinners to help me celebrate my birthday and Chinese New Year. She even helped host my 40th birthday party at her farm.
The past 2.5 years have been very difficult for me, and Pam was a huge reason I've been able to get through it. I had gotten to know her better over this period, as we met frequently and often discussed the challenges and struggles we both faced. I already miss our talks!
Pam had a beautiful heart, full of love for her family and friends. She had an easy going nature and was full of fun and laughs. She had a quiet strength and she maintained her beliefs to help get her through her tough times.
Our inside joke was that I never remembered the first time that we met. I may not have remembered meeting you Pam, but I'm forever grateful that I did! Thank you for your kindness, your friendship, your support, and for being such a positive presence in my life! Love you Pam!!
