I only talked to Owen a little, but he really left a mark on me. He was such a genuine person, and I don’t think he ever realized how much his story touched me. We never met in person, but I’ll always remember him. I hope you’re at peace. 🤍🙏🏻

My deepest sympathy at this very difficult time.   Owen was such a wonderful person, and he made my niece Kelsey so very happy.  I will be saying prayers for all of you in the coming days for peace and comfort

We are heartbroken for all of you. Owen had the biggest heart and was so kind from the very first day we met him—and your whole family—through hockey back in 2005. He always made people feel welcome and cared for.

We can’t begin to imagine the depth of pain you’re carrying now. Please know we are so very sorry, and we are holding you close in our thoughts and hearts during this unimaginable time.

My sincerest condolences for his family and friends. I was proud of him and how he had changed his life around. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know him when he first started his journey of his new life. He always remained positive and determined to succeed. My heart goes out to everyone that carries him in their hearts, remember that he is always with you in memories and now watches over you in all you do. Heaven has gained a very special angel.

Owen was my first best friend when i moved to Walnut Hills Elementary along with Tim Seo so I’ve known him and have always kept pretty close to him for the last 19-20 years. I just had talked to him about how good we were both doing with sobriety and he was so excited about his job that he was working at before passing. I still can’t fathom that this is real, but O just want to say, Owen was very caring and would give his last to you if he had it. He was a great human being. I love you Owen

I am so sorry to Owen’s family and friends. I only spent a short amount of time with him, but know how much he meant to everyone in his life. I was inspired by how he had overcome his hardships in the recent years. 🤍

Prayers to the Topliff family, I will always remember the memories growing up playing hockey against Owen and sharing summer hockey memories with the Midwest Blizzard. Owen was so fun to be around and some of my favorite hockey memories were with Owen.
