First time I met Brother Oliver and Sister Susie, I believe was at an assembly. After Mike & I married. I always looked forward to visiting with them and hearing their wisdom. Brother Oliver was always very spiritual even when he was laughing & telling a story. One of my favorites was the story of when they first moved to Tucumcari and took the pictures of I-40! No cars! My other favorite was Mike telling about the time when Barry was small & would fall asleep! lol Mike said y’all always sat at the front! This particular time Barry was around 8-10, anyway he was nodding off and would lean his head over on Brother Oliver, the difference was Brother Thomas moved his chair, so as Barry fell asleep and leaned over his dad wasn’t there, so he fell in floor! Brother Thomas picked him up, and suggested he needed to stay awake! Poor little fellow! Mike said it worked, or at least he didn’t fall asleep against Brother Thomas again.

Early 90s, Oliver & Susie often picked my pre-teen daughter up for meetings while she would be on visitation with her dad in Logan.  One year on Memorial night the snow was quite deep but they made sure she got to & from the KH safely.  Oh, my heart.  Condolences to Susie & girls.  Will see him again sooooon.  🐸

I was [ heartbroken] when I heard the news of Oliver's passing. Oliver was always willing to listen to me and was very patient when giving me advice. He holds a very special place in my heart since he was the person that brought jehovahs message to my life. I will miss him a lot and will miss our wonderful conversations. My confort is that I'm certain that his name is in jehovahs book of life. I must make it a goal to do jehovahs will so that I can see my friend again and enjoy his friendship for all of eternity. Love you pal.

My friend you will be missed greatly. I will miss our conversations. Thank you for bringing the truth to my life which gave me hope. My confort is that I know jehovah has you in his book of life.
I was saddened when I heard the news of Oliver's passing.  I pray that Jehovah will “really hold onto your right hand” through this sad time. Please except my Sincere Sympathy.  Love  Vivian (Mohninger)
My most sincere condolences to the family. May the Lord bless you and comfort you in this time of need 🙏
Frank and I are sorry to hear of the passing of Oliver. We really enjoyed his comments in our zoom meetings. We also very much enjoyed his conversation which always included laughter.

They were very kind to my mother and I who had recently moved back to NY. I remember visiting them on Sundays at their home on Bushey Ave. in Yonkers. The children would  watch a Disney movie on tv and eat ‘flying saucer’ ice cream sandwiches  Ollie would buy from the Carvels, which at the time was right around the corner on Tuckahoe Rd. I loved being at their home.

Late 80s early 90s, moved to Tucumari and Oliver and Suzie made me feel loved from the moment I met them and the friends. His smile and laughter were contagious. He had a heart of gold. I kept saying I needed to give them a call and catch up. But time passes and it doesn't happen. But I am blessed to have known him and his family. Vickie
