Norman's obituary

Mr. Norman Stone Williamson, age 68, of Lyons, died Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a brief illness. He was a native of Lyons, having lived there most of his adult life. He served twenty-four years in the United States Army and was a mechanic at Chicken of the Sea, and previously worked at Crider Foods. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Curtis Williamson, Sr. and Irma Collins Williamson Kipperchuck; and one brother, John Curtis Williamson, Jr.

His family includes three children, Sumier Harmon and husband Tom of St. Johns, Florida, Curtis Williamson and wife Pam of Jacksonville, Florida and Robert Williamson of St. Paul, Minnesota; two stepchildren, Meghan Littleton of Vidalia and Chelsea Hadden and husband Mike of Springfield, Georgia; partner, Vanessa Hunt of Lyons; four siblings, Brice Williamson and wife Dee, Finta Beasley and husband Wayne, all of Lyons, April Whitaker and husband Charles of Vidalia and Olivia Williamson and husband Ed Storer of Seattle, Washington; ten grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be Saturday, September 24th, at 1:00 p.m. at Norman’s home at 1399 Geron Williamson Rd., Lyons, GA 30436.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4849 Paulsen St., Suite 102, Savannah, GA 31405.
