Sorry to hear about this. Norman was a kind man .

Norman and I were friends for about 60 years having grown up in the same neighborhood in Passaic. The description of him in his obituary is spot-on! And he was still upbeat and optimistic when I last spoke to him in July. It is my privilege to call him my friend, and I will hold him in my heart always. My sincere condolences to Robin and Logan and family. God bless!

Norman was truly a joy to be around. I was privileged to help care for him over this past year. He truly was a selfless, encouraging, gentle man. He loved his granddaughter and didn’t miss a chance to brag about her and share pictures. He loved his whole family and always found something good to say about everyone. Everyone on our floor always had something good to say about Norm. If you came in for the day and heard music playing you knew Norm was back 🥰. I will Miss his warm smile and tender heart. I am so sorry for your loss. Normans faith carried him through some really hard times and I am confident it carried him home.

I want to extend my heartfelt condolences for Norman. I have known him while he was living in Plainfield. I have also met his ex-wife when at the time he was going through some difficult times.. He was very kind taking people in to help them. Unfortunately after several years at B.J.'s , we lost touch. He was the epitome of a beautiful soul. Godspeed to him. Sincerely, Mayor John L. Madden, Middlesex Borough.

Seems to me it was a hot summer Saturday; I was walking towards my car in the BJ’s parking lot. I turned around and saw this formidable man with a magnificent head of hair walking towards me.: “Hey, how are you doing?” Next thing you know, a half hour of chatting has gone by. I took Norman’s business card and agreed to consider a BJ’s membership. Guess who I got a call from the following Monday? The salesman par excellence, “Norman Streit, here”. That was the beginning of an almost 10 year relationship, and needless to say, my getting a membership in the BJ’s Wholesale Club. One thing more than BJ’s found us with something in common: our faith. Norman passionately declared himself a Hebrew man for Jesus. That sealed it for me! And so until just a few short weeks ago, our times together always found us circling back to our #1 bestie, not the Jets or Trump or Elon, but Messiah, Yeshua Hamashiach. A year ago this August, my best friend took me into his house, when I found myself homeless!! Norman’s words to me over the past six months as he looked up at the cross on the wall, “ I just want to go be with HIM”. Well, his wish has been granted. Baruch Hashem = Blessed be the Name.

My condolences to Norman's family. I first met Norman when I had to deliver a car fob to my son (Scott Miccio) at a Volleyball Tournament in Point Pleasant, NJ with his future wife Robin Streit when he lost the original on the beach. As soon as I met him he started right away with the jokes, he was a very funny person. As time went on we both got a chance to know each other & became friends. He came to some of the family get togethers when he could like Family Christmas Celebrations & Birthday Celebrations. He communicated with me thru Facebook when he had sonething to say & sometimes to tell me a new joke. He was always upbeat & jovial. A very unique person. He will be sorely missed. ❤️
