Newman James Williams of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on April 10th, 2023. Newman was born in Sioux City, Iowa on January 1st, 1953. He achieved a Bachelors Degree from the University of Iowa and was a member of the Omega Psi Fi fraternity. Throughout his life, Newman enjoyed providing words of comfort to the youth and support for his family. He loved music, sci fi, history, photography and animals.  Most of all, he loved football and basketball, especially his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears. Newman was proceeded in death by his wife Teresa (née Scotton) brother Frankie, father Franklin and mother Joyce (nee Hilliard). He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Voss and Marcia Morris, his children Khary, Zahra, and Jamila, grandchildren and a host of cherished nieces and nephews and dear extended family.
