Nettie's obituary
Nettie was born on November 1st, 1930 to Doretha Chapman and Jeff Parker in Centreville Mississippi. She never finished school and often told stories of walking miles to attend school in Mississippi while growing up with her family as sharecroppers.
Nettie worked several jobs in various capacities to raise three children. She spent several years working for the school board as a custodian before retiring.
In [year they met], she met Timothy Owen Packnett a WWI veteran, and they wed in [marriage year].
When Nettie had Muriel her first child, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Nettie excelled at propping up Muriel, Linda and Larry supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether supporting Larry through private school or through a long illness or supporting Linda and Muriel through parenthood , she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.
Nettie was a good cook and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her kitchen putting together scrumptious dishes. We will miss her greatly.
Nettie was predeceased by her mother Doretha, and father Jeff, sister Carrie "Poola" Johnson ,brother Johnny "notcha" Chapman, daughter Linda Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins. She is survived by daughter Muriel Packnett, son Larry Parker, brothers Ralph and Robert Chapman. Grand Children Tishawn (), Brandon Packnett,Tameica Packnett, and Devon Williams. Great grandson (), and many cousins.
