I was one of the nurses that took care of Netfa. He was a wonderful person. I am so glad he came into my life. We shared some good conversations and I will always remember him.

I know Netfa told stories about ambassadors to the USVI, but Netfa himself was an ambassador to his co-workers at Indev and PHMSA. During the first few months at my new job, I sat in the same cubicle as Netfa. He was the perfect person to ease the potential stress of a new position by showing you the ropes, chatting about travel, and laughing over common Seinfeld quotes that we knew.  He was a true professional, colleague, and friend. It was a pleasure getting to know him over the past 2.5 years. I will miss the calmness of his voice and his smile that would flash during a meeting to show that everything is going to work out just fine. We are all inspired by his strength and know that his memory will live on forever. My deepest condolences to his family, we are here if you need anything. Aaron Seidel

You know when you went somewhere and didn’t know anyone and felt uncomfortable then all of a sudden someone in the room made you feel like everything was going to be ok??.... that was Netfa!! He was always the most responsible, funny, calm, mature one that made all of us feel comfortable. If he was there we knew we were in the right place. Tafa inspired me to Rock my dreams and I started my radio show called “Living the Dream” followed by my fb page “rock the dream”. We are Viking family now and FORVER. I wish the best for my sistren Natasha and her sons. Know we are here for you!! His memory will FORVER be eternal. ☦️

Netfa was my workmate. We shared the same office. He was very jovial and could crack mischievous jokes!! We had fun working together over the past 2+ years. He cares deeply about his family and his community. Because of him, I planned to visit the US Virgin Islands.
He was very good at his job. I will surely miss him.
May his soul Rest In Perfect Peace.
May God be with his wife and family.

From Brooklyn NY and the white sands and calm turquoise water of St. Thomas you brought strength and compassion to all among you. You made our lives and our work better with humor and dedication. You brought your smile to brighten our days and you touched our hearts! A true jewel that will sparkle within all of us, rest in Peace my friend!

My heart goes out to the Romain family. Netfa was an incredible mentor, father and husband and a proud ambassador of the U.S.V.I. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to encounter him in this life. I was lucky to work for him for a short time. He will always be 'the boss'.

Too sudden. Too soon. You always had my back at work. Gave me solid life advice when I needed. I pray all is well with your family and will be forever grateful for the impact you had on my life.

Heart-felt condolences for the Romain family. Netfa and I both supported Defense Health Agency, but our paths didn't fully cross until we both started working at Indev supporting DOT. We had a blast talking about all the people we interacted at DHA with over the years. Although we didn't see each other often at DOT HQ, when we did bump into each other, I could always count on Netfa for a light-hearted chat about our families and whatever current craziness was going on in the world. Same deal when we'd IM each other. I will miss those conversations dearly.

My heart and thoughts are with Netfa's family. He was a joy to work with, and an amazing man to talk with and listen to. He was the rock of our team. I am amazed and yet, not surprised to see how many lives he impacted in such a positive way. I am blessed to have known him.
