Netfa “Tafa” Romain our brother, friend, family, comrade, jokester, Ambassador.
We were all saddened by Tafa’s transition on August 17, 2021. But no more than by Tasha, Jordan, Quentin, and Kenan, his father (Bevin), his mother (Louise), and his sisters (Yanni and Khadeeja).
Tafa’s community leadership and love for our islands still resounds, as we are blessed with beautiful memories, words and photos from those whose life Tafa touched. Tafa shone the spotlight on the extraordinary work of Virgin Islanders to passionately promote the culture, music, cuisine, natural beauty, and hospitality of our island home.
Many of you have inquired about how you could be of assistance. Tafa’s greatest wish for his sons was that they thrive through the love and support of the community he created throughout his lifetime.
We all are hurting, and I ask that now we join together to honor Tafa by ensuring that in his absence his sons will be able to receive the quality of education that he would have wanted for them. All contributions will go directly to supporting the boys’ educational needs and academic futures.
