Neil's obituary

Neil Smilen was a lover of life, generous by nature, and a devoted and loving father. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Murry Smilen and Eileen Smilen (Dressler). In high school, he was both in marching and jazz band playing the trombone in both. He spent his twenties and thirties working in sales, traveling, and enjoying life in New York City. In 1996 he married Ronit Smilen and together they had two daughters. A decade later they moved to Florida where he built  A. Smilen Landscaping inc. of which he was the proud owner. He is survived by his daughters Leor and Maya as well as his two brothers Scott and Rick. He passed peacefully with his daughters by his side after battling Parkinson's and Rheumatoid arthritis for 8 years.
