I know Neil since 1978. He was always lots of laughs even during the worst of times. I first went to Fire Island because he rented a house every year, great memories. He was a devoted son to his parents Eileen and Murray. May they all be together again 🙏🏼❤️

*THE DRAGONFLY*

Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads 🪷, there lived a little water beetle 🪲 in a community of water beetles 🪲. They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond with few disturbances and interruptions.

But once in a while, sadness would overcome the community when one of their fellow beetles 🪲 would climb the stem of a lily pad 🪷 and would never be seen again. They knew that when this happened, their friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, our little water beetle 🪲 felt an irresistible urge to climb up one of the stems. However, he was determined that he would not leave forever. He would come back and tell his friends what he had found at the top.

When he reached the surface, climbing out of the water onto the lily pad 🪷, he was quite tired, and the sun ☀️ felt so warm, that he decided he must take a nap.

As he slept, his body changed and when he woke up after several days, he had turned into a beautiful blue-tailed dragonfly with diaphanous, delicate wings that looked like stained glass, and a slender, elegant body, perfectly designed for flying.

And so, fly he did! And, as he soared up high, he saw the beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life than the one he had known before and had never imagined that it existed.

Then he remembered his beetle friends 🪲 and how they were thinking by now he was dead. He wanted to go back to tell them, and explain to them that now he was more alive than ever before. His life had been fulfilled rather than ended.

But his new body could not go back down into the water. He could not go back to tell his friends the good news. Then he understood that their time would come, when they, too, would know what he now knew. So, he raised his wings and flew off into his joyous new life! ☀️

And so do ALL OF OUR LOVED ONES, OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, ANIMALS, EVERY SINGLE BEING WITH WHOM WE SHARED A BOND,  OUR TIME & LOVE - they all flew towards the great blue sky, towards God! ☀️

They’re all there in the Great Beyond, waiting for us patiently and lovingly, watching over us, until we reunite again.

There are no goodbyes. 
Only see you later !
