We miss you Nate!- Debbie Felsing Donovan
Nathan has always remained my favorite dance partner! He made me love country dancing, and no other partner was ever as good as him! Funny story: one night we went country dancing, and were swinging all over the floor. We took a break to head to the drinking fountain. During one of our dance moves, my bum must have slid along the floor, because there was dust on my jeans. Ever the thoughtful gentleman, when he noticed it, he kindly brushed it off for me. Then, realizing where he was brushing me off, he was so embarrassed and kept apologizing all night! I admit it was a weird feeling while I was getting a drink to feel a hand across my bum, but I thought it was SO funny how embarrassed it made him. I’m not sure I’d ever seen him so off kilter!
Nate was one of the smartest guys I knew in highschool. He was always funny, in a shy kind of way.. but had a great sense of humor. He was also one of my dance partners, and some may not know that about him... He was a great dancer, and debater. His views on life were always looking forward, and curious about how life worked, even at 18. I am sad the world no longer has his smart brain, and originality here to enjoy. Prayers to all his family, I am sure he leaves a big hole in many hearts with his passing.
Nathan wanted to learn Java and spent a weekend on this project. In the course of his studies he created an online version of the game "battle ship" with graphical user interface etc. There aren't many programmers that could duplicate that effort. Nathan did it in his spare time over a weekend.

Nathan making divinity at Dawn's house in Texas to share with all her friends (if Zac didn't eat them all first!)
Nathan would come visit me in Texas often. One of his favorite things to do was bake some goodies and go visit all my friends! I'm not sure which one he liked more, baking treats to share, or meeting new people! He was king at baking no-bake cookies, divinity, and cinnamon rolls. My son, Zac, loved it when he would come visit because it meant we would have an endless supply of divinity to eat. Nathan and Zac would sit around playing chess and eating divinity to their hearts content!
