Background
In lieu of flowers or other common funeral condolences, we are asking that you consider contributing to a more lasting memorial to Nathan. We would like to purchase and donate a memorial bench and a nice shade tree to be placed on the Jordan River Parkway Trail - a path Nathan frequently walked. We would like to dedicate the bench to Nathan and all those who are affected by MS or other disabilities. In addition, we thought it would be meaningful to plant a tree near the bench so those who need a respite from the heat of the sun would find relief under the shade of it's leaves. Pending approval, the bench and tree will be donated to the Jordan River Parkway Trail project. Once the donation and location are approved, we can order the bench and have it installed. At that time, we will update those who are on our list of the exact location. We expect this process to take 2-3 months, so be patient if you do not hear from us immediately! If for some reason we collect more than is necessary for this memorial bench and tree, or if it turns out to be unattainable and no other location is found to be suitable, we will donate all remaining funds to the Meals on Wheels America in Nathan's memory. We will update this website once everything is confirmed and settled so you can either visit the bench site at your convenience if you wish to, or rest assured knowing that your contribution has been donated to a good cause. Thank you for your kindness and for coming together to honor and remember Nathan Kennard!
