I didn't have the opportunity to know Nancy well, but I have been honored by the blessing of her daughter's friendship. And the love, joy and everlasting support I receive from Tiffany I know is a direct result of Nancy.  For that, I'm forever grateful for Nancy. Thank you for your legacy.

I met  Nancy occasionally at Mercy Hospital over the years, but knew her best as a fellow swimmer at the Y.  She and I would talk about her roses, and her dogs, and her care for her neighbors, and her frustrations with her doctors. When Nydia joined her in the morning swim, I remember we three sharing hospital stories together.  I will miss her.

My friend Nancy, thank you for the gift of your friendship. We swim buddies made each morning in the pool the highlight of day.
Even those 72 degree pool temperatures couldn’t stop us. ( it sure did those wimpy men😂)
You were so inspirational. With your caring ways, outlook on life, how many people you solved problems for, always giving.
Except for the “ plan problem .” Meaning, if you were planning something, a trip, vacation etc., something always went awry. You’re the only person I know who planned a trip to Jackson Hole and got there the day after the entire town closed for the season! And how did you handle that? By sharing the story and laughing. You had that gift…humor about yourself. We were always laughing.
Unless we were hopping mad about politics and anti vaxxers.
I’ll miss you and your beautiful spirit.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your life.
As you’re swimming away from us, we’re waving on your journey to a better place.

Nancy was one of the most amazing and kind people I ever had the pleasure of working with. I started on nights in 1999 in the ICU and she, right from the start made me  feel, like a member of the team. Not once can I recall her ever having  a cross word towards anyone, especially the new kid on the block. Instead, she, Marcia, Nydia and Kathy made me feel welcome and made the learning curve so much easier. Having undergone pancreatic cancer surgery in 2020, I feel a deeper connection than I would have expected, and Nancy, I want to thank you for showing me what the purest definition of bravery, kindness and compassion are.
