I will never forget Nancy.  She had a heart of gold.   She gave so much and she never gave up.  She was an inspiration to me and she will be missed.

I was sad to hear of Nancy's passing. Our families have to many memories to list. Her heart encompassed ever child she laid eyes upon. She was a loving mother figure to so many children throughout her life, with or without her Cubbies smock.

I grew up with all six of her children. She was a second mother to me and a sister to both of my parents. Another annoying younger sibling to Mat & Liz; obnoxious sibling Becca & Sarah; and just another rowdy boy with Mike and Josh.

My heart goes out to all her family and friends. The grieving will take its time to pass, but be thankful she has joined her brothers and sisters that have gone before her. She has been welcomed with open arms by her Savior.

I spent A LOT of time at the Hafner home before graduating high school. Nancy was always very kind to me. I was very sad to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences go out to her friends and family. I hope you find comfort and peace in joyful memories.
I lived in the Hafner household for two years around the time Michael was a toddler.  I have wonderful memories of the time spent with Nancy and my cousins.  I still have the Mickey Mouse watch she gave me. I was saving my allowance up to buy the watch for six months and she surprised me with it on my birthday.  This is just one example of how sweet, thoughtful and giving she always was to me.  All my aunts were great, but Nancy and I had a special bond growing up.  My condolences go out to all who loved her. ❤️
My mom Nancy was my best friend. The best mom I will never ve the same without her.

I grew up across the alley from the Hafner family. Liz was my best friend growing up and her siblings were like my siblings too and Nancy was like a second mother to me. Some of my best memories as a kid were doing things with their family. Nancy was always such a sweet, caring lady. She will truly be missed but never forgotten. Prayers go out to her family. 🙏

2021, From Betty, Nancy’s Sister
Nancy was my sister, and I will miss her everyday of my life. We had not seen each other in a few years, but we talked often. The death of our sister, Patti, hit Nancy particularly hard. They were very close. Two days after Patti’s death, Nancy got sick and went to the hospital. When it was decided Nancy needed a ventilator, she called me to say goodbye. I, being a retired nurse, tried to reassure her she would be fine. We both said, “I love you,” at the same time. Looking back, if there was anything I learned from her death, it was you have to tell your loved ones what they mean to you before it’s too late. You may never get another chance. So, goodbye for now, Nancy. You were a great little sister. From your Big Sister Betty.
My condolences to Nancy's family. I first met Nancy when I was assigned to her her through my Healthcare agency.  She mostly just wanted to go out to eat or just go shopping. Sometimes she wanted me to take her to the doctors. Her only real regret was not getting to go to Disney world with her Grandchildren.  She loved each and every one of them with a passion. I would take her shopping around Christmas and even though she didn't have much money, she would do her best to find just the right gift for each one of them.  After a while the company found out that I was taking her out and they put an end to that. Apparently all they wanted me to do was clean house for her. I did what I could but with my breathing and heart problems I couldn't do much. So we decided that I would quit the job and we'd just be friends and do the shopping anyway. So a few times a month we would go do errands, go out to lunch, and then spend the rest of the day shopping.  Sometimes we'd go get our hair cut as well. That was what we were making plans for when she found out that she had been exposed to that nasty covid.  I miss her so much.

I hadn’t seen Grandma Nancy in person in almost a decade. But she was always good to me. No matter how tumultuous the circumstances were, she always tried to make sure everyone was ok. That’s a rare and truly virtuous trait to have. I know that the discernment of a just God would lead her to a place better than here. My condolences to her friends and family, as well as anyone else who she meant something to. I know I won’t forget her.

Nancy was unique in how she was so very forgiving. She never held a grudge against anyone. She believed that only God had the right to judge. Nancy didn’t have a mean or unforgiving nature at all. She was a real inspiration to others in that way.
