Christmas/Birthday celebration

Through the decades we were friends, and I always admired Mykell's love for animals, her strength and resilience, and her dedication to family and friends. She had a huge heart, and wouldn't hesitate to jump in and help, even over the miles. We spent many days chatting about our lives, agreeing that we would one day sit back as old ladies in rocking chairs, cackling as we relived what we had survived. I suppose we'll have to do that on a higher plane now. I miss her so much! Her smile, her laugh, her shining spirit. I pray we all can find comfort in knowing Mykell made our world a brighter place. She will be in our hearts and on our minds always.

It’s been tough to put words here. I miss her, and because life takes over, you lose touch with friends. Especially when you live in different cities. That happened to us, but we had recently reconnected after my moving closer to her. We didn’t have enough time together and that is something I’ll always regret. Mykell was a truly beautiful soul who was loved by every human and every animal she connected with. She loved her daughter & granddaughter so much and they were the subject of most of our conversation. She was happy. I could feel it. I couldn’t wait to see her! Now I just miss her. I pray for peace and healing for her Bailey, family, & loved ones. I can’t imagine how hard this is and I look forward to celebrating her life.

Mykell and I met through our girls at the cheer gym. We quickly became friends and ultimately ended up working together as she transitioned out of new home sales to technology sales. She picked up the new career very quickly. She was intelligent, inquisitive, kind, loyal, humble and yet confident and very convicted. She will be fondly remembered. My heart is broken for her her daughter Bailey and her little Grandbaby that will miss the opportunity to grow and learn from Mykell.

I worked with Mykell for a couple of years in the early 2010's. Her heart was huge. She even adopted a baby armadillo that was stranded by the mother.

Mykell worked with me in 2017. She and I had many breakroom discussions about parenting, she always encouraged me as a single mom, and she talked endlessly about her love for her daughter and granddaughter. She will be truly be missed and touched many lives.
