Monay was one of those rare people who made life feel lighter just by being in it. She was kind, funny, and fiercely loyal—the type of friend you could count on without ever having to ask. Her laugh was truly infectious: once she started, it was impossible not to smile with her.

We talked on the phone almost every day, often for hours at a time, and somehow those hours and hours would feel like just a few moments. She had a way of making you feel seen, understood, and never alone. Although I’m grieving her deeply, I’m also so grateful and blessed that I got to love her and be loved by her friendship.

I’ll miss you always, Monay. Thank you for the joy, the humor, and the steady presence that you gave so freely.

I worked with Monay at Anthem. Though we never met in person we worked together on projects often. She was always so kind and caring. She talked about her daughter a ton, it was clear that wasn’t just her baby that was her bestie. What a tragic loss at such a young age. She was a talented LED. What an absolutely beautiful tribute to her beautiful life. My condolences to you all in this very hard time. My deepest sympathy to you all. May you RIP Monay, beautiful soul.
I first met Monay when we were roommates in the Flats. I had the best two years in those apartments with her. She was so funny, supportive, and just an all around good person. We had so much fun running around the city together, just being carefree college kids. I was so sad to hear of her passing but I started to think about all the good times we had together and all I could do was smile. I love and miss you Monay and I will be praying for your family!
