Background
We are raising funds to support the Ross and Williams family as they prepare a beautiful Celebration of Life for our beloved Monay Shameka “Mo” Ross. Many who knew Monay know she was never one to ask for anything she was a self-starter, a hard worker, and a woman who carried her responsibilities with strength, dignity, and grace. But in this moment, as we honor her life and care for the family she cherished, we have created this fundraiser because so many friends and loved ones have asked how they can help.
How will the donations help?
Your generosity will directly support the cost of Monay’s memorial and Celebration of Life services scheduled to take place in Selma, Alabama. It will also assist with support for her daughter Olivia, and arrangements required to properly honor Monay’s life, legacy, and contributions.
Why did we create this fundraiser?
We created this fundraiser because Monay touched countless lives from Selma to Atlanta to every major city she traveled for work. During this heartbreaking time, family and friends across the country have asked for a way to show their love, offer support, and honor her memory. This fundraiser provides that space. It is not a handout; it is an opportunity for those who loved Mo to give back to a woman who gave so much of herself to others.
How will the money be spent?
Funds will be used for:
Celebration of Life and memorial service expenses
Floral arrangements and venue support
Travel and accommodation assistance for family
Livestream service setup for extended family and her grandmother in California
Support for her daughter, Olivia, as she navigates this difficult season
Every contribution will be used responsibly, respectfully, and with full transparency.
Monay lived a life rooted in love, excellence, faith, and hard work. She never looked for handouts she looked for ways to lift others, to build, to inspire, and to create opportunity.
