In response to "How did you first meet Mitchell?"
Mitchell had an intuitive gift for his practice. As he did his magic, it was a pleasure to learn more about each other as people. It’s so frustrating he was not able to fend off Covid. This is a loss for so many... Condolences to his family and close friends.
In response to "What made Mitchell different from most people you know?"
My name is Edward, I have worked with Dr Simon for the past 2 years. I probably see him more often than some of his friends because we work together 4 days a week.

He was a great chiropractor and a wonderful man. As a chiropractor he was experienced, responsible and he cares about his patients. As my boss he was down to earth, easy to work with and never had any attitude. As a friend he listens and he cared about me.

I moved to Boston 5 years ago and he was one of my dearest friends. It is still hard for me to accept that he is no longer with us but I am also glad that he is in a much better place right now.

The new onwer and me will carry on Dr Simon's legacy and continue to service our patients. Farewell my dearest friend! I will miss you...

Im so saddened by Mitch's passing. He had a special place in my heart as a friend and former boyfriend (in 2007-2008) we had many special memories during that time including a hiking trip to Glacier National Park, a singles trip to Puerto Rico (when we were dating) and many sweet and funny stories. He even went to temple with me. He was always a mischievous handsome "Larry David", who had many crazy stories to tell. We stayed friends through the years and still called each other "chief" and "junior" our trail nicknames, although we didn't always see each other regularly. We spoke often in recent months after I learned of his struggle with cancer. He so appreciated the friends that were there for him. I truly believed that he would get to his next chapter and that our November lunch in the park would not be our last. Covid robbed him of so many wonderful years and my sincere condolences go to Peter, his "brother", his many close friends and his mother. I see Mitch in the afterlife in the convertible of his dreams , the sun at his back and a pretty woman by his side, smiling and free. I hope that he knows how loved he was and that he is at peace. I will miss you dear Mitch.
Mitch and I had our first match date on Dec 2, 2017 . I thought he looked handsome in his glasses but I was wary about dating. But through time Mitch taught me how to love again and I was privileged to be able to help and comfort him through his cancer diagnosis. We had hope for a future , a life together that was not just cancer , and we were happy together. We just didn’t know his days were so numbered. Rest In Peace my love.

Dr. Simon was a member of The Massachusetts Chiropractic Society, and I had the pleasure to meet him and talk with him several times over the course of 4 years that I knew him, whether over the phone or in person at one our education seminars. He was always kind and helpful. He leaves behind so many that loved him dearly! Rest in Peace!
Remembering good times at National. Mitchell’s sense of humor and big heart stands out. ❤️ My heart goes out to his family and friends—may his love and memories be with you always and be a blessing.
I was friends with Mitch at SUNY Albany. We became close over the summer of 1977 when we both took summer classes before our senior year. We would hang out after classes on the Podium and enjoyed the quiet time on campus. He was a gentle person among all the frenetic college friends.
Mitchell,

How could you leave me?
It’s impossible.
I never envisioned it ending like this? (Who does?)
We talked about mortality our whole life, and now here it is.
I am so sorry.
You meant the world to me, you knew that.
You were my hero, savior, brother, confidant, uber-friend, best friend.
From our earliest days in Forest Hills, Queens, NYC, in 1975,
sitting in the breakfast nook with Marty and Diane
and Kimmie (your sweet German short-haired pointer),
you opened the world to me.
I had been saved, praise God,
from a life in the mean streets of Brookyn.
You at SUNY Stonybrook, me at SUNY Bimghamton
We met that fateful summer at SUNY Albany
And the rest is our shared history.
Driving into Manhattan to meet girls.
And eat the huge pizza slices at Ray’s.
And I ran into you on the stairs at Albany one fine summer day,
the finest day ever,
And you said “Hey Bern, there’s this cool profession
called “chiropractic” and, again, the rest is more of our
unbelievably, improbably shared history.

Chiropractic college together.
We trundled down Main Sreet, in Lombard, Illinois
with ten-foot snow drifts to see our new Chiro. School.
You met Jean, who was (is) adorable.
(love to you, and deep condolences Jean).
And we graduated
and you began practice at David Singer, Tall Pines, NJ
and I went to Acton, Massachusetts
and I said “come to Boston, it’s hip”
and you arrived in Boston.

and one fine day,
at the corner of Beacon and Harvard Streets, Brookline,
you said I’m going to start my own practice, in Natick,
and I said “I can’t let you start you own practice
without me (also starting one),
so I found a place in Framingham,
and we lived together in Waltham,
then Newton Corner, then we bought Kilsyth together
and there we were, for 16 years,
practicing, with our deep, existential friendship
having lunch everyday, having dinner every day
at Bertuccis, and Legal Sea Food, respectively,
and trying to meet girls, to find the “right one”.
What a scream, the endless singles dances,
The girlfriends, the drama, the hysterics, the laughter.
The existential conversations,
And you met Tracey, and I moved to Newton,
And you broke up with Tracey.
and then we combined our offices for a few years
when the managed care crap hit the fan.
Then, we started practices in Brookline,

And all our friends, our wonderful, loosely affiliated
Group, wonderful guys and gals:
Peter (love to you, and deep condolences Peter, who knew Mitch since elementary school!)
and Stuart The Ez!” (love to you, and deep condolences, Stuart)
(I miss you guys severely!)
and Curtis, and Ron and Irv and Rob
And Debra and Wendy K (RIP, our beloved)
And Sue M. and Lisa B. (FL), Mitch spoke often of you all.
And Mitch’s newly-discovered family in the Bay Area,
Including Eric (Mitch showed me pictures of you guys bonding)
(love to you all, and deep condolences).

And I remember all the dinners, and bike trips
We had, and
Mitch, you and I went to Hawaii together
You largely slept through Hawaii, with hypoglycemia,
as usual,
Ez, you and I we went to Grand Canyon together,
Where me met A.
Peter we shared Passovers and such together (with B.)
I tell you all now it all meant so much to me, more than you’ll ever know,
The friendships.
And Peter, you said to me “Bern, that Volvo is a good investment”
It meant a lot to me, the niceties, big and small,
making me feel at home a bit,
The loving friends I’ve lost touch with,
or alienated, maybe.

Mitch, I last saw you for the last time
on a very hot July day, this past summer, in 2020,
To give you an old Activator instrument
you needed, and I had.

And I recall now
all the dinners, movies, singles dances, seminars,
practice days, warm summer days together,
when we woke up on a Saturday morning
and sought our young men’s day’s adventure.

All the seasons together I’ll never forget,
I’ll think some thoughts about them
Every day,
until we are all reunited somewhere.
All of Us.
Us, and all our friends.

Mitchell, there’s no words to describe losing you.
I though the world of you, indescribably.
You forever changed my life.
I’ll never forget you,
and will always be loyal,
every day,
and pray we meet again someday,
My wonderful brother and uber-friend
and raison-d’etre.
and now, we must carry on without you,
so lonely,
but this is not goodbye,
it’s “Hello”…
and “See you soon,
my dear.”

You were my brothers best friend and best man at his wedding you will be missed very much
I met Mitch taking the boards to become a chiropractor in MA in 1983. No one made me laugh like Mitch made me laugh. He had this funny, New York, self-deprecating, neurotic, Jewish, quick witted humor that warmed my heart and brought out the most goofy side in me. Mitch was very aware and could genuinely laugh at himself as he would project himself into the future in some scenerio as a chiropractor or with a date that didn’t work out. He was a loyal friend. God I will miss this man.

Heartbreaking-having known Mitch for 30 years-he was one of the finest, funniest friends/people in my life. He was my chiropractor, friend and pic (partner in crime). Smart, witty, with a double dose of New York neurotic (my daughter Tricia said he could be Larry David's sibling...) He was all things good - I would laugh so hard I would cry when I was with him. He is someone I will find in Heaven. Write to his mother - she raised a remarkable man.
So happy to have reconnected with Mitch this past year after meeting over 35 years ago at SUNY Albany. We shared many talks and laughs during this crazy time and I will miss his keen sense of humor. May Mitch’s memory always be a blessing ❤️

I was very nervous to meet Mitchell for the first time but within moments I felt like I had known him my entire life. I will miss your great sense of humor and kindness big brother. Love and peace ❤️
