It is with heavy hearts we announce the untimely passing of Michelle Shepherd, on March 18, 2024. Born February 17, 1974, Michelle lived a life full of laughter, color, and care for others, leaving an impactful mark on the lives she touched.
Michelle is survived by her son, Keith Shepherd, and her daughter, Alexis Shepherd-Zimmerman. Her familial love extended beyond mere blood ties, forever etching her nurturing and protective essence in the hearts of her beloved children.
Known for her bubbly, warm, silly, and fun-loving personality, Michelle had a unique charm that made every moment with her memorable. Her fondness for Surf & Turf for dinner and Cherry Pepsi after a long bike ride was merely one of the countless, lovable quirks that made Michelle, Michelle.
A staunch supporter of the Raiders, Michelle showcased the same loyalty and dedication in her everyday life. She found joy in the simplicity of Scratcher tickets and the beauty of her garden, her love for outdoor recreation reflecting her zest for life.
Michelle enjoyed an occasional breakfast at the local Peoria Café, often seen wearing her favorite color, purple. In her own simple way, she brightened the café with her presence.
Her compassionate heart aligned her with causes such as feeding the homeless, always willing to extend a helping hand and a warm meal to those in need. The life lessons she imparted, including the timeless advice to "Always brush your teeth.", undoubtedly exemplifies her light-hearted, practical wisdom.
The void left by Michelle's departure is palpable - she brought a color to life that was intrinsically hers. She may have left us far too soon, but her spirit persists in the laughter shared, the memories created, and the lives she touched. Michelle Shepherd will be sorely missed.
