I will always cherish my Adventures with Michelle. These were filled with total exhaustion (on my part) and exhilaration. Michelle encouraged and inspired me to go beyond what I thought I could achieve. Our hikes and runs consisted of me seeing amazing scenery while trailing way behind Michelle. That is unless I had a great story to tell her, the only way I could keep her in range! The most consistent element was Michelle’s big smile and total joy being in the mountains. Thanks for Patagonia Michelle, it was amazing trekking with you. I will miss her terribly. My sincerest condolences to Dan, Tracy and to all the many folks who loved her. Ā

I am so sorry Dan, Michelle was a beautiful person and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet her. Ā

So sorry that we Lost this beautiful girl. We all know she now made her final climb and this time it was to Heaven with all the other Angels. Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā Rich and Kathy SteffensšŸ™šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

Loved her silliness

Loved her silliness
After having done the approach to the base of the Flying Buttress of Mt Meeker, I discovered I had done a bonehead move by forgetting to bring my climbing shoes. I said I'd take a nap in the sun while Michelle and Dirk climbed, but Michelle insisted I could climb the harder pitches in her shoes, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. So she climbed ahead of me and lowered her shoes down to me on the crux pitches, and I stuffed my big clompers into her miniscule little tiny shoes, and we eventually topped out safe and sound. We laughed and laughed about the ludicrousness of it--she could always see the light side of things when I got too serious. Yet she always kept things safe, she was so calm and assured, she had the capacity to make it fun even if others were pushing their limits.
