Three years.  I'm grateful for Michelle's friendship  - unexpectedly more grateful every year.  Moments when I wish I could share something new with her just make me realize how often she was there to listen, share, laugh,,.  I wish I was still taking Michelle's presence and friendship for granted.  Still missing you, girl!
Chellie and I were gymnastics team rats together in the 1970’s. She was a great friend. Spent many an afternoon in that backyard Hillsboro pool laughing and being silly. Good memories of a wonderful soul. ❤️ - Karen Johnson McConnell
Thinking of Michelle and smiling as I remember her positive energy, tenacity, adventurous spirit, and determination. It was a true gift to have the opportunity to watch Michelle and Dan interact during her time at Craig Hospital. She would have a smile on her face as she would discuss future photography trips and climbing excursions that she would like to plan. Dan would patiently bring her back to the present and her current recovery goals and then they would both laugh and tease each other. Their love story is so beautiful and lives on through Dan today. My thoughts are with him and the family.

Wishing Dan a day of good memories to carry him through an unbelievably hard day. In love and peace, Jim and Sandra

Thinking of you Danny on what would have been Michelle’s 60th birthday.

All my love Rel

I am still processing that she's no longer with us. I had the honor and pleasure of climbing together in Kentucky at the Red River Gorge. She's someone I've admired for many reasons. Her zest for life always stood out. I also had a very serious accident and almost died. This is why I say, I am still try to reckon with her passing. Thank you for this memorial website. Very touched.

It's still hard for me to fathom that someone so full of life, energy, drive and joy for the natural world, someone who was such  a great friend, is no longer with us. Peace, hugs and acceptance to Dan, Tracy, and all the rest of us who will miss her forever. But I can say, seeing her in repose in between climbs, in the photos below, does bring a inner smile to me. She knew how to play hard and relax soft.
