Mike was an inspiring friend. He embraced life with gusto and optimism in spite of many health challenges. You could always count on Mike for a big story, a big laugh, a big hug and a big heart. We will miss him greatly.

Mike and Jan would bring pumpkins for EVERY child at the Children's Center. My fondest memories of teaching was always our field trips to the Whedon farm in the fall. Mike was a wonderful role model for the children and one that is irreplaceable. If I can be half the natural teacher Mike embodied I will have achieved much in life.
