Rachel and Carlos Rehearsal Dinner — with David, Paul, Janie, Michael and Phil

I think about my brother Mike so often. I have many photo collages in our home and he is in many of the pictures that I see daily. He has always been a very special older brother to me. I tell the story about when I was a little girl I used to say I would marry him when I was older (not understanding the concept really at all but knowing that you could love someone that much and want to be with them forever.) Michael always treated me so sweetly calling me "the little one". He was already a teenager when I was born but I think that "protective brotherly instinct" kicked in immediately.

As a sibling, it's a new experience to have lost the presence in your life of one of your older siblings. I'm so thankful for the relationship we had and trust he is resting in the arms of our loving savior, Jesus Christ. My prayers go out to his immediate family as they too walk through his absence in their lives as husband, father and friend. I love you Michael. Janie Rae

I was so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I worked with him for over 20 years and always enjoyed talking to him, either on the phone or in the office.  Mike was such a nice guy, caring, funny and always had a smile on his face.
Michael served as Salt Creek …
Michael served as Salt Creek Ballet's chairman of backstage for 13 years. He worked behind the scenes of performances at venues such as Paramount Theatre, MacAninch Arts Center, and Governors State University, ensuring that everything ran smoothly season after season.
